The short version
You own your work and always will. We read it, score it, and send you a report. Your manuscript or script is never shown to another person. If your work clears our bar we prepare a private marketplace page for your review; only you can publish it, and a listing shows your title, category, scores and a synopsis you control — never your report, never the work itself — to people who might want to represent, option, publish, produce or help finance it. We tell you the moment that happens, with a link to see the listing and change it. One click takes it out, at any time, and you can delete everything permanently whenever you like.
What we do
We are an evaluation service. Several independent AI readers read your work start to finish, a panel reconciles what they found, and you get a score out of 100 with the reasoning behind it and the changes we think would move it most.
A score is an opinion, carefully formed and honestly given. It is not a prediction. Nobody here can promise you representation, publication, production or money, and we never will.
Your work stays yours
You keep the copyright in your work, and in the audio series we make from it. We claim no ownership of any kind, and nothing here is a transfer of your rights.
Where we do have an interest, and exactly what it is. If your series goes on to be licensed somewhere else — another platform, another format, another territory — we ask for the first opportunity to represent it, and we take a 15% management fee on what we bring in. We would rather say this on the same page as "you own your work" than bury it somewhere you find out about later.
Three things that fee does not do. It does not attach to money you make on your own, from a deal we had no hand in. It does not let us license anything without asking you first — every deal needs your yes, in writing, on that specific deal. And it does not lock the work up: if we are not doing right by it, you can end the arrangement and take it elsewhere.
You give us permission to do two things: read your work in order to evaluate it, and keep it in encrypted storage so we can check our own scoring stays consistent over time. Nothing else.
Your writing is never used to train an AI model that writes. Not by us, and not by the providers who run the readers. Those models are run by Nebius Token Factory and Anthropic on business terms. Nebius retains prompts by default and trains on them; our account is switched to Zero Data Retention, and because that is an account-level setting rather than a per-request one, our software refuses to run readers at all if nobody has re-verified it recently.
One thing we will not overstate. Turning a script into audio means sending the script's lines to a voice provider, ElevenLabs. Their terms let them use customer content to improve their own speech models unless that is switched off, and the switch is not offered on every plan. While Readiculous is in private testing — no outside authors, no manuscripts but our own — we have not yet switched it off, and we would rather write that here than imply otherwise. Before any author outside this company submits a book, that account moves to terms where retention is disabled on every individual request, and this paragraph will say so instead.
Send us only work you have the right to send. If you did not write it, or you have already signed those rights to somebody else, this is not the place for it.
The marketplace
Clearing our bar moves your work into marketplace progression. We prepare an editable, private draft and email you a link to review the listing and its settings. It does not go live until you click Go Live. You can leave it private, or take it private again at any time. If an agent asks to be put in touch, you get an email straight away, and nothing is passed on without your yes.
Here is exactly what a listing means.
What is shown. Your title, author name, category, word or page count, your scores, and a short synopsis you control. That is all. Your report is not shared — the evaluation we write for you is yours, and no subscriber sees it without your express consent. Your manuscript or script is never shown to anyone, listed or not. If a subscriber wants more than the listing — sample pages, your contact details — they have to ask, we bring the request to you, and nothing is released unless you approve that specific request. A request you ignore releases nothing.
Who sees it. People who might want to represent, option, publish, produce or help finance your work. Today that means literary agents, managers and producers, whom we approve one at a time. It may later include others with the same purpose — people or groups who fund work directly rather than through a publisher or a studio. We are telling you this now, plainly, so that if it happens you have already been told rather than asked to agree to something after the fact.
What will not change is the part that matters: the audience is always people who might do something with your work, the thing they see is always the listing and never the work or your private report, and you can leave at any time.
Contact details. Never passed on without asking you first, every time, for that specific person. Interest in your work reaches you through us, and you decide whether to answer.
Leaving. Unlist whenever you want. It takes effect immediately and needs no reason.
We may in future charge people for access to the marketplace, or take a fee if something comes of an introduction we made. If we ever do, we will tell you what it is before it applies to you, and you can unlist rather than accept it.
Money
During the beta, evaluation is free for the first hundred works in each category. Our planned standard price is $24.99 per evaluation. Paid submissions are not open yet; before they open, the price and payment terms will be shown clearly before you submit.
We charge for the evaluation, not for the outcome. A score you dislike is still a score we did the work to produce.
Deleting your work
You can permanently delete your manuscript or script from our systems at any time from your submission page. It goes, and it does not come back.
Your score and your report are built from numbers and our own words rather than from your text, so they survive deletion unless you ask us to remove those too. If you want everything gone, say so and it will be.
What we cannot promise
We cannot promise a score, an invitation, an agent, a sale, or that anyone in the marketplace will read your listing. We can promise that your work was read in full, that the score was arrived at honestly, and that we will tell you plainly what we found.
Our evaluations are opinions and may be wrong. If our service fails you, what you can recover from us is limited to what you paid us. That is the ordinary limit for a service at this price, and we would rather state it than bury it.
Changes to these terms
If we change anything that affects work already in the marketplace, we will email you before it takes effect and you will have the chance to unlist first. We will not apply a new rule retroactively to a decision you already made.
